Baheeg Ministry

Egyptian music is richly enhanced with all kinds of ethnic and international flavors, from different cultures and influences over many generations. In this series, we bring you a collection from Dr. Raafat Baheeg’s orchestrations of Christian music known and used in Egypt and the Arab World.

Dr. Baheeg‘s music ministry started more than 40 years ago in Egypt. He is the keyboardist and digital arranger of many famous Arabic Christian song albums since the early 1980’s, and he also composed and recorded music for different Arabic Christian groups, Radio, and TV.

 

Dr. Baheeg was born and raised in Luxor, the great city of the ancient Kings and Palaces in Egypt, relocated with the family to Qena for high school, then again to Cairo, joining Helwan Evangelical Church, and he graduated from Kasr El Aini medical school in 1984.

Raafat and Hanan Baheeg have been involved in music ministry together since they knew each other in 1981. They recorded a few song albums together and visited churches to lead worship, preach the gospel, and exhort the believers through biblical instruction and song. in 1986, they founded and led the “Last Trumpet” team for music ministry with a wonderful group of talented Christian friends.

 

In 2005 he immigrated with his family into the USA for evangelistic ministry with Global Recordings Network, then he became involved full-time in teaching medical sciences in California, USA, since 2011, and he now composes worship music in his spare time.
